La primavera parece que también ha llegado a Nueva York, y a recibirla salimos a la calle todos los neoyorquinos, emocionados por poder dejar en casa algunas capas de ropa y a la vez lucir nuestras nuevas adquisiciones. Como las mariposas, resurgimos renovadas después de un crudo invierno, y en nuestros armarios los gruesos abrigos dejan sitio para los añorados vestidos, finos foulards y, sobre todo, para los coloridos bolsos y zapatos que siempre son la base de nuestros modelos.. Spring seems to have finally arrived to New York, and we, New Yorkers, go outside to welcome her, excited to leave some layers of clothing at home and also to flaunt some of our new buys. Like butterflies, we reemerge, renewed after a harsh winter, and in our closets our thick coats leave room for those dresses and fine foulards we missed so much, and especially, for the colorful handbags and shoes that make our outfits special. La obsesión por el “Street Style” se ha llevado al extremo en la puesta en escena de la colección primavera-verano 2015 de Chanel. Para la presentación, el gran Karl Lagerfield (81) ha hecho construir una avenida, bautizada como Boulevard Chanel, en el interior del Grand Palais de París. El detalle de la recreación es asombroso: charcos, alcantarillas y aceras de adoquín recorrían la pasarela. Además, se simulaba una gran manifestación callejera de mujeres con pancartas que defendían el “girl power”.Obsession with the “Street Style” has been taken to the extreme in the staging of Spring-Summer 2015 collection for Chanel. For the presentation, the great Karl Lagerfeld (81) has had an avenue built, named as Boulevard Chanel, inside the Grand Palais in Paris. The detail of this replica is amazing: puddles, gutters and sidewalks walked the cobblestone walkway. Also, a great women street protest was simulated on the street with placards that defended “girl power”.

No sé lo que pensaría Coco Chanel si levantara la cabeza y viera el fabuloso negocio que se perpetúa con su nombre en las manos de los sucesores del abuelo Wertheimer, con el que ella pleiteó sin descanso hasta claudicar y vender en 1954. Sin embargo, creemos que como Lafive, ella se postraría ante el control creativo del modisto alemán. La explosión de color de las imágenes de este sorprendente desfile, muestran a un lozanísimo “Kaiser” (como se le conoce popularmente) que siente la necesidad de acercarse a la calle, de libertad. Cava is not Champagne
En estas tardes de Navidades en Nueva York, viendo películas y comiendo palomitas, me dolió lo que el personaje de finolis interpretado por la exquisita Romola Garay en “One Day”, exclamaba con un tonillo de burla: “eso no es champagne! es vino con burbujas… español” devaluando así el rico cava con el que brindaban en la escena. Si pudiera hablar con la directora de esta película, la danesa Lone Scherfig, me quejaría por la ignorancia que propaga este comentario. He dicho cava, sí.
These Christmas afternoons in New York, while watching movies and eating pop corn, it hurt me what the posh character played by the exquisite Romola Gray in “One Day” exclaimed in a teasing tone: “That is not champagne! That’s sparkling wine…Spanish” thus putting down the delicious “cava” they were toasting with. If I could talk to the Director of this film, the Danish Lone Scherfig, I would complain about the ignorance embedded in this comment. I said cava, yes.

Seguro que sí, que hay cosas que se compran por impulso: yo no me pienso dos veces si quedarme con un par de camisetas, un pack de calcetines, una falda y una chaquetita…todo a muy buen precio. A veces nada me combina con nada y puede que algo no me convenza del todo pero sin embargo… he acertado totalmente con los calcetines, hay que ver… ¡qué falta me hacían! Así, mi armario se va llenando hasta que por fin encuentro el día en el que deshacerme de todo aquello que no me he puesto en un par de años, siguiendo la receta de mi amiga Elena.
Sure, there are things that are bought on impulse: I do not think twice about getting two shirts, a pair of socks, a skirt and a little jacket … all at a great price. Sometimes nothing matches anything and maybe I am not quite convinced about some picks…The socks were the totally right choice though, gosh! How I needed them! Just like that, my closet gets filled up until I find at last, one day when I can get rid of everything I haven´t worn for a couple of years, following my friend Elena’s recipe.
Sin embargo, hay compras que son otra cosa. Éstas requieren iniciar una búsqueda, explorar las opciones, meditar, combinar, elegir y decidir. Cuando finalmente tomas la decisión, sabes que has hecho una inversión. Cuando elijo una prenda especial para una fecha concreta, con la certeza de que me va a acompañar muchas veces y durante varias temporadas, reduzco el riesgo de modas pasajeras y pienso a largo plazo. Summer is here and parties happen every minute. A few days ago we were invited to Huawei´s party at Madrid. The outfit chosen for the occasion was composed by a baby pink midi skirt, a black&white crop top, high heels and Lafive&Biombo13 B&W leather box.

Cada día nos sentimos de un modo, vestimos diferente, optamos colores distintos según nuestro estado de ánimo y también nosotras elegimos un bolso distinto dependiendo de cada momento. Partiendo de esta idea nace Mil Maneras de llevar Lafive.

Con la llegada del verano buscamos prendas fáciles, fresquitas y con un toque de color. Personalmente, soy muy fan de los vestidos largos de algodón.

Los collares son antiguos, me gusta muchísimo combinar varios de colores vivos- La mano la encontré en un puestecito del Rastro de Madrid.

Las gafas fueron un regalo de cumple y me las pongo a diario: son el modelo Club Master de aluminio (Ray Ban)

Y por último y no menos importante, nuestro sobre básico mostaza y blanco roto con muñequera de serpiente. Es un básico de piel de un color súper ponible para el verano: muchas os decantáis por el beige de manera constante en los complementos y nosotras consideramos el mostaza un poco “el beige veraniego”.
Last but not least, here comes our King: Lafive´s mustard basic clutch- We love this color, it is powerful and we find it real easy to combine. Mustard is summers´new beige!

Por fin podemos proclamar que inauguramos web y blog, así, todo seguido jejeje!
Hace poco más de un año presentamos nuestra colección, cómo pasa el tiempo ¿verdad?…Buscando fotos para escribir este post me he dado cuenta del largo camino que ha recorrido Lafive.
Por eso, queremos dedicaros este primer post a todos los que habéis confiado en Lafive desde el minuto cero: amigos, creadores de otras marcas, seguidores de RRSS, novios fantásticos que regalan Lafive a sus novias y sobre todo a nuestras clientas a las que os debemos absolutamente todo y a las que consideramos familia.
